Is sneezing and runny nose a new type of pneumonia?

Sneezing and a runny nose do not indicate a novel coronavirus pneumonia infection. Symptoms of fever, dry cough and malaise are common in novel coronavirus pneumonia, and fever usually exceeds 38 degrees. Sneezing and runny nose are first commonly caused by influenza. If there is a history of contact with a suspected or confirmed patient, symptoms of sneezing, runny nose and fever should be taken seriously and a prompt visit to the hospital is needed for nucleic acid testing to confirm the diagnosis.
