Integrative Chinese medicine treatment for achalasia

Heel pain is a common clinical condition caused by chronic strain around the heel nodes. Since 1995, the author has treated 96 cases of heel pain by using Chinese medicine integrated therapy and achieved remarkable results, which are reported below. 1.Clinical data General data 84 cases came from the Chinese medicine and orthopedic outpatient clinics of our hospital between December 1995 and June 2007, and 12 patients were diagnosed outside the hospital because of their advanced age and other critical diseases. Among them, 50 were male and 46 were female; the age ranged from 43 to 82 years; the shortest duration of the disease was 7 days and the longest was 4 years; there were 87 cases of unipedal onset and 9 cases of bipedal onset. In some cases, 37 cases showed mild osteophytes of the heel bone by X-ray radiography, and the remaining cases did not see any abnormalities of the heel bone. Clinical manifestations The disease is mainly characterized by pain in the heel, accompanied by a soreness and swelling, which is obvious when standing and walking, especially when the pain increases after morning activities or long standing and walking, and occasionally involves calf and thigh swelling and pain, which can be relieved after rest. Diagnostic criteria (1) Pain in the heel, aggravated by morning activity and walking. (2) There is pressure pain at the heel nodes or none. (3) X-ray film shows: the affected foot is normal or there is a bird’s beak-like change at the heel nodule. 2, treatment method Internal treatment with Duluxu Yusheng Tang plus reduction Duluxu 10g, Sang Sang Sang 30g, Huai Niu Kne 10g, Angelicae, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Chuanxiong, Shu Di, Bai Shao 15g, Shan Yao 20g, Roasted Astragalus 20g, Boneset 15g, Chicken Blood Vine 15g, Dan Shen 15g, Yuan Hu, San Qi, Wine Jun 10g each. For hypertension, the dosage should be small; for yin deficiency, add Chinese wolfberry, turtle board, turtle shell, purple river car, etc. Daily 1 dose, water decoction in 2 times after meals, warm, 7 days for a course of treatment, up to 2 courses of treatment. A walnut (do not break the shell) and add vinegar and white wine each 100ML, while the foot suspended on the liquid, so that the liquid fumigate the heel for about 10-20 minutes, wait for the liquid temperature and then soak the foot, while scrubbing the heel, while holding the walnut along the heel bone inside and outside massage, and finally massage the bottom of the heel, the technique from light to heavy, if the liquid becomes cold can be warmed and then wash The massage is performed for half an hour each time, 2 times a day, 1 dose a day, 7 days as a course of treatment, 1-2 consecutive courses of treatment. Then use the point point plus beer bottle rolling method Let the patients themselves point and press the affected limb foot Sanli, Yanglingquan, Xiexi, Kunlun and other points for 5 minutes; beer bottle filled with hot water (to not burn the feet as appropriate) seal and step on the heels of the feet, back and forth evenly and slowly rolling, the affected foot can be slightly increased strength, 10 minutes per night, 7 times for a course of treatment, the longest 2 courses of treatment. 3.Efficacy standard and treatment result Efficacy standard Cured: pain completely disappears, function completely restored, walking freely, no recurrence within 1 year. Effective: the pain basically disappears, does not affect walking activities, or there is only soreness, numbness and swelling after walking long distances, which is relieved by rest, and no aggravation within 1 year. Ineffective: the pain was slightly reduced or not improved, and still affected walking activities. Among the 96 cases, 84 cases were cured, accounting for 87.5%; 8 cases were effective, accounting for 8.3%; 4 cases were ineffective (2 cases interrupted treatment after 3 days of treatment, 2 cases were transferred to orthopedic department for closure or surgery after 1 week of treatment), accounting for 4.2%. The total effective rate was 95.8%. Among them, 17 cases of heel osteophytes had no significant changes on review X-ray, and the rest were not reviewed.
