How long does it take for acute vaginitis to heal?

The treatment time for acute vaginitis varies widely depending on the pathogenic bacteria. Bacterial vaginitis and mycotic vaginitis have a shorter treatment period and in most cases can return to normal in a week; trichomoniasis and chlamydial vaginitis, for example, take about several months to recover. If you have bacterial vaginitis, or vaginitis caused by trichomonas, mycobacteria or viruses, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a routine check of your leukorrhea and follow your doctor’s instructions to use medication according to the treatment schedule. Remember not to use medication blindly on your own as it may lead to dysbiosis and aggravate your condition or prolong the treatment period. During the treatment of vaginitis, it is important to pay attention to personal hygiene, avoid sexual intercourse, and eat less spicy and stimulating food to help your body recover. It is also necessary to strengthen physical exercise and not to stay up late to avoid a decrease in immunity, which is not conducive to the recovery of the disease.
