Subcutaneous nodules with itchy skin are most commonly seen in boils and carbuncles, scabies nodules and nodular itchy rash, while subcutaneous nodules caused by skin tumours, skin proliferative diseases and skin granulomatous diseases usually do not cause itching. When subcutaneous nodules with itchy skin are present, patients should be seen and treated promptly and avoid repeated scratching of the affected skin, as this can lead to secondary skin infections.
