What are the criteria for paediatric anaemia under 6 months of age?

In newborns under 6 months of age, haemoglobin values are generally highly variable. According to the recommendations of our Paediatric Blood Conference, haemoglobin is considered anaemic when it is <145g/L in the neonatal period, <90g/L from 1 to 4 months and <100g/L from 4 to 6 months.
