Patients with novel coronavirus infection may have dyspnea, but dyspnea does not mean that they have novel coronavirus. Many diseases of the respiratory tract can cause dyspnea, such as bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchiectasis, and even lung cancer, which can cause dyspnea due to large tumors. In addition, cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension, heart disease, and cardiac insufficiency, can also cause dyspnea. Therefore, when symptoms of dyspnea appear, the characteristics of the symptoms should be carefully distinguished, and dyspnea should be identified by combining the patient’s age, underlying disease and special signs of disease development, and if necessary, the diagnosis can be confirmed with the help of chest imaging or blood tests.
