Four surgeries were broadcast live, director Pan Xiangbin of Fu Wai Hospital demonstrated percutaneous atrial defect closure, director Zhao Tianli of Xiangya Second Hospital demonstrated ventricular septal defect closure of membrane tumor in the lower sternum, director Xie Shaobo of Guangzhou Medical University First Hospital demonstrated intra-crestal ventricular septal defect closure in the 3rd intercostal incision in the left chest and ventricular septal defect closure in two openings of membrane tumor in the lower sternum with a 1cm incision, all surgeries were completed successfully and were transferred to general ward this morning. The directors not only explained the operation and precautions during the operation, but also made real-time interaction and in-depth discussion on the same problems encountered in congenital heart disease closure during the operation and after the operation. More than 90 cardiac surgeons, ultrasound surgeons and operating room nurses from hospitals in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan and Hong Kong attended the meeting. After the establishment of the training center, our department will provide training and technical support for the cardiac surgery department in South China hospitals to carry out this technology widely, so that the minimally invasive blocking technology can benefit more children with precordial disease.
