If the fracture is well aligned, only external fixation in a cast is done, and no surgical treatment is done, then there may not be a way to assess the disability. If the fracture of the lower leg was operated, but healed as expected after the surgery, and the function is good, the disability level is generally about ten grade. If the fracture is operated on, but heals poorly and is functionally impaired, the disability level may be about nine. If the fracture of the lower leg is destroyed and there is no way to preserve the limb, amputation treatment, the disability level is relatively high, generally can reach about five.
