How long does it take for a minor bone fracture to heal on its own?

The healing time of minor fractures depends on the patient’s age, the location of the fracture, the physical condition and other factors, and cannot be generalized. Bone fracture is a minor fracture, there is no displacement of the fracture end, no local deformity, no functional impairment, and recovery is generally good after braking and recuperation without special treatment. Adults with minor fractures can generally heal on their own in 4-6 weeks, but for fractures in weight-bearing areas, it is recommended to maintain the fracture for up to 6 weeks to guarantee the effect. In addition, the younger the age, the faster the healing time, so minor bone fractures in children have a much shorter healing time. In addition, during the fracture recovery period, the fracture site should be avoided from stress, and in case of limb fractures, plaster fixation is required to prevent the fracture from being misaligned or from being subjected to high forces in general, which may affect the healing of the fracture. Diet should pay attention to nutritional supplements to help promote recovery.
