Kidney stones and ureteral stones are often associated with dull pain in the lower abdomen, vague pain or colic, and hematuria, often with sudden onset. 40% of patients with kidney stones have renal colic, and in severe cases, even shock. Patients with bladder stones often have lower abdominal pain and urinary frequency, painful urination and other symptoms of urinary disorders. Most of the urethral stones come from the bladder, and the symptoms are acute difficulty in urination after severe pain in the perineum, spot urination with painful urination and hematuria, and acute urinary retention.
