There is no specific drug for novel coronavirus pneumonia. For patients with confirmed infection, supportive and symptomatic treatment measures are mainly taken, such as maintaining the stability of the patient’s internal environment and giving oxygen monitoring. Anti-viral drugs can be administered by nebulized inhalation of alpha-interferon, oral lopinavir or ritonavir, or a combination of antibacterial drugs if necessary. The disease belongs to the category of epidemics in Chinese medicine, and can also be treated with Chinese herbal medicine for evidence-based treatment. Specific treatments are being studied and will be tested through clinical trials.
