Early detection and early treatment of malignant tumors have the best effect, and the surgical resection rate is high for early detection and can even achieve complete cure. The five-year survival rate after radiation therapy for early-stage nasopharyngeal carcinoma can reach 78.23%, while the five-year survival rate for advanced stage is only 38.12%. In China, there are about 1.6 million cancer patients each year, and a considerable number of these malignant tumors are difficult to be diagnosed at an early stage. Lung cancer is a malignant tumor that seriously threatens human health and life in the world, and in China, its incidence and mortality rate have increased significantly. Therefore, it is very important to improve the diagnosis rate of tumor and the speed of diagnosis to improve the cure rate. The incidence of tumor is increasing year by year and has surpassed cardiovascular disease. Hospitals at all levels are setting up tumor specialists one after another, and doctors will encounter tumor patients regardless of their specialty, which requires doctors to have relevant knowledge. In recent years, with the introduction of new chemotherapy drugs and the emergence of new chemotherapy regimens, the incidence of toxic side effects caused by chemotherapy has a tendency to decrease and lessen, with the following characteristics: 1. 2. The application of human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor and bone marrow transplantation has greatly improved the rate of raising white blood cells. 3.The application of Adriamycin, high-dose CTX and other drugs has a decreasing trend and cardiotoxicity is reduced. 4.Patients’ demand for quality of life has increased, and more attention has been paid to problems such as hair loss and skin pigmentation. 5, the total application of vincristine and other drugs rose, and the phenomenon of phlebitis and ulcers caused by extravasation of chemotherapy drugs increased. With the development of high-efficiency and low-toxicity chemotherapy drugs and the progress of dealing with toxic side effects, the position of Chinese medicine in alleviating toxic side effects of chemotherapy should also be adjusted, so that it can closely cooperate with new drugs and new programs to play the role of Chinese medicine. The national “Seventh Five-Year Plan” and “Eighth Five-Year Plan” have been engaged in large-scale clinical observation, and there are many changes in the types of chemotherapeutic drugs and protocols. In this paper, we only introduce our personal experience in the treatment of the toxic side effects of new drugs commonly used in recent years. Bone marrow suppression is still an important side effect of chemotherapy, with peripheral blood granulocytopenia as the main manifestation. Myelosuppression can occur with paclitaxel, Tysodi, Norviben, and newer drugs such as hydroxycamptothecin, irinotecan, and topotecan. Elevating leukocytes is long past the period when sharboxol and lisinopril were the mainstay, and many drugs of the granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) class have rapid onset and obvious effects; however, the persistent low leukocytes are still very significant because levels will be even lower, by which time patients are often already discharged. 2. The increase in some chemotherapy regimens with carboplatin involvement, these patients tend to drop to their lowest point in the fourth week, and the more they are treated, the slower their recovery. Patients are mostly discharged in the third week and are in a chronic hypocellular state outside the hospital. 3.The number of new oral chemotherapy drugs is increasing, such as Ufadin (FT-207), Camofluor (HCFU), Fluorotiron (5-DFUR), and Siroda, etc. Patients mostly take them at home, and they cannot check their blood in time, causing long-term chronic and continuous leukocyte decline without timely detection. 4, nitrosoureas chemotherapy drugs such as CCNU, BCNU, MeCCNU, etc., delayed leukocyte decline mostly occurs in the 4th to 6th week, and the recovery begins in the 8th week, short-term drug stimulation for multiple chemotherapy patients, bone marrow function is difficult to restore normal in a long-term stable manner. Chinese medicine protects bone marrow and raises white blood cells slowly, which is not as fast as the effect of colony stimulating factor, and it is difficult to change the change curve of delayed bone marrow suppression of some drugs, but it can reduce the degree of decline; and the effect is long-lasting, mainly taken orally, without obvious toxic side effects. The mechanism of action is to mobilize the “source of Qi and blood generation” to produce blood, rather than “driving” the white blood cells in the bone marrow to the peripheral blood. Thus, in non-emergency cases, early application of Chinese herbal medicine is beneficial in preventing and treating long-term persistent low white blood cells. The decrease of white blood cells caused by chemotherapy drugs cannot be collectively called “blood deficiency”, and its treatment should not be called “blood promotion” or “blood tonic”. In Chinese medicine, “blood deficiency” refers to the overall lack of blood production or low moistening function, which is manifested by pallor, yellowish color, lip and tongue, dizziness and palpitations, weak tongue and pulse, etc. It is similar to iron deficiency anemia, hemolytic anemia and blood loss anemia in modern medicine. Patients with grade I or II leukocyte drop alone have no obvious symptoms, while those with grade II or higher may have shortness of breath, weakness, lack of energy, tiredness and dizziness, etc., similar to “qi deficiency” in Chinese medicine, which should be treated mainly by benefiting qi. In many formulas, the common Qi-enhancing herbs include Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng, Radix Ginseng, Radix Astragali, Rhizoma Atractylodes Macrocephala, Rhizoma Yam, Fructus Lycii, Radix et Rhizoma Chasteberry, etc. Examples of common formulas are as follows Examples of common formulas are as follows: Tonic Zhong Yi Qi Tang: raw astragalus, licorice, ginseng, angelica, orange peel, ascending marijuana, bai hu, and atractylodes nourishing the middle and benefiting the qi, raising the yang and lifting the spleen. In chemotherapy for gastrointestinal tumors, it can improve digestive symptoms of spleen and stomach qi deficiency and symptoms of tiredness such as weakness of limbs. Shengwaisan: It is composed of three herbs: ginseng, maidenhair and schisandra, which benefit qi, nourish yin and nourish the heart. It can reduce weakness, invigorate the spirit, improve the symptoms of dizziness and shortness of breath, improve the efficacy when used together with ten whole tonic soup, and have a protective effect on myocardial damage of anthracycline chemotherapy drugs. Herbal treatment of neurotoxicity Paclitaxel, vincristine and demodex can cause neurotoxicity. The increased application of vincristine and new platinum drugs can have high frequency hearing impairment and increase the occurrence of peripheral neuritis, such as abnormal or dull glove-like sensation, numbness of the end of the hands and feet, etc., which is aggravated by cold, and its occurrence is related to the amount of drugs used. Vitamin B1, B12 and other drugs have some therapeutic effect. In Chinese medicine, numbness of the extremities is called “unkindness”, which can be caused by deficiency of qi and blood, Yang deficiency and yin abundance, resulting in insufficient meridians, stagnation of cold and dampness, and numbness of the extremities caused by wind and evil in the complexes, which is similar to some manifestations of numbness of the extremities caused by chemotherapy drugs. The formula is as follows: 15g of sizzling astragalus, 15g of angelica, 10g of bone marrow, 10g of gentiana, 10g of herbal medicine, 10g of herbal medicine, 10g of ginseng, 10g of hooked vine, 10g of doklam, 10g of sumac, 5g of cinnamon stick, 10g of papaya, 10g of cow knee, 15g of mulberry branch. In this formula, astragalus, angelica, bone marrow and bone marrow nourish qi and blood, invigorate blood and warm yang; gentiana, herbal medicine, hooked vine and doklam dispel wind and open the channels; sumac, cinnamon stick and papaya open yang and reach the channels; cow knee and mulberry branch They are used to induce meridians to reach the extremities. The topical application of Chinese medicine for the treatment of aseptic phlebitis chemotherapy drugs can cause aseptic phlebitis, some drugs originally belong to the category of “foaming agents”, such as anthracyclines such as Adriamycin, nitrogen mustard, etc., leak out of the blood vessels to cause subcutaneous soft tissue inflammation, ulceration and necrosis, some drugs currently have more clinical application opportunities, the chance of extravasation is also high, such as Novelty Some drugs have more opportunities for clinical application and have a higher chance of extravasation, such as novobiocaine and other new vincristine drugs (3). Chemotherapy-induced soft tissue injury should first be distinguished from chronic exudation due to poor vascular wall or poor injection leakage. Chemotherapeutic agents can stimulate soft tissues, there is intense pain, tissue pallor, edema, dry necrosis, ulceration, scar formation and other processes. Timely closure, cold compresses, physiotherapy and other measures have some effect. External application of Chinese medicine can be divided into two steps: the first 3~4 days of intense pain, the skin has not yet ulcerated, in the application of painkillers at the same time, can be used topical Chinese medicine with pain relief, solid astringency: chicken claw yellow Lian 5 grams, blood exhaust 1 gram, ice chips 1 gram, borax 1 gram, grinded, egg white mix external application or yellow Lian thick decoction and add other Chinese medicine external application. After the pain is relieved, the treatment is to produce muscle and flesh, astringent and solid astringent, the formula is as follows: 20g of raw astragalus, 20g of angelica, 10g of comfrey, 10g of safflower, 20g of raw rhubarb. Put it in a bottle and change the medicine daily. The increase in diarrhea symptoms caused by chemotherapy drugs is related to the increased use of some new chemotherapy drugs, mainly fluorouracil derivatives such as fluorotelone, carmofur, mangiferine, eflornithine, and elitecan (CPT-11). In mild cases, the stools are not formed and the number of stools increases; in severe cases, there may be watery stools or blood-like stools, causing weakness, atrophy, decreased quality of survival, and failure to carry out chemotherapy successfully. While replenishing the amount of fluid and maintaining the balance of water-electrolyte metabolism, Chinese medicine has certain anti-diarrheal effect. Examples of prescriptions are as follows: Nourishing the organs Tang, for those with diarrhea and abdominal pain, deficiency of the spleen and stomach: Ginseng 5g, Poria 15g, Angelica 10g, Atractylodes 15g, Nutmeg 10g, Cinnamon 3g, Horehound 15g, Asclepias 10g. Ginseng and Atractylodes San, for those with weakness of the spleen and stomach, dampness and diarrhea: Ginseng 15g, Lotus 10g, Semen Coix 10g, Poria 15g, Rhizoma Atractylodes 15g, Radix et Rhizoma 10g, yam 15g, pomegranate peel 10g. The treatment of diarrhea caused by chemotherapy drugs in Chinese medicine should pay attention to the patient’s general condition: some people have been treated with chemotherapy for many times, so most of them have spleen deficiency as the basis, in addition to diarrhea, they often have nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, etc. Therefore, ginseng and coix seeds are often used in the formula to strengthen the spleen and benefit the qi; diarrhea caused by chemotherapy drugs can be the result of the toxicity of chemotherapy drugs on the stimulation of the vegetative nerves, reducing the gastrointestinal nerve response to chemotherapy drugs is also an important factor. The second is to reduce the secretion of gastrointestinal fluids, increase water absorption to slow the loss of fluids, so the use of pomegranate peel, chebulo to astringent intestine fixed off.
