The average life expectancy of vitiligo patients

Vitiligo is a pigment loss disease, acquired later in life. It usually only affects the skin and does not affect other organs and system functions. The average life expectancy of vitiligo patients is not much different from normal people. As long as the disease does not lead to psychological problems, it will not have an impact on life expectancy. Very few vitiligo patients, due to autoimmune diseases, may be combined with other immune diseases, such as thyroiditis and diabetes. In this case, the corresponding organs can be checked when white spots appear on the skin, and early detection and treatment can help the quality of life as well as the life expectancy of the patient.
