What is Microneedle Therapy?

  The small needle knife is an acupuncture tool made of metal material, the tip of which resembles a needle and a knife in shape. It was developed on the basis of the beryllium needle and sharp needle of the nine needles in ancient times, combined with the principle of modern medical surgical instruments. Small needle knife therapy is a kind of closed soft tissue release method between surgery and acupuncture, which is formed on the basis of incisional surgery method combined with acupuncture method.  The operation of small needle knife therapy is characterized by the stimulation of different techniques such as puncture, cutting and peeling at the treatment site deep into the lesion, in order to achieve pain relief and dispel the disease. Its indications are mainly for soft tissue injury lesions, stenosing tenosynovitis (popping fingers), heel pain and bone and joint lesions.  Small needle knife therapy is a minimally invasive treatment technique that is simple to operate and can be performed at all levels of medical institutions. The therapy uses minimally invasive incisions, with little damage, no sutures, not easily infected, no adverse reactions, and a short treatment process that can be operated in 1 to 3 minutes. It is popular among patients because of its efficacy, quick results, safety and less pain.  Small needle knife shape and length slightly different, generally about 10 ~ 15 cm, the diameter of most in about 1 mm, divided into three parts of the knife handle, knife body and needle knife blade. The blade width is generally equal to the diameter of the needle body, the edge is sharp. Some needle knife in the blade end made at an angle into a certain hook, to facilitate the treatment of special areas. Small needle knife must be strictly sterilized before use.  Indications for the application of small needle knife: a. The patient feels that there are painful symptoms in a certain area.  b.The doctor can touch the sensitive pressure pain at the lesion.  c, palpation can be felt under the skin there are strips or pieces or ball-shaped hard, nodules.  d. There is a ringing sound at the lesion with finger flicking.  When operating, first position the body, select the treatment point and then do local routine disinfection. To reduce pain, local anesthesia can be done. To improve the efficacy, a small amount of steroid can be used in combination with local closed injection. Commonly used prescription: 2% lidocaine 2ml + saline 2ml + tretinoin 0,5ml (or Depo-Provera 0,5ml). After the injection, switch to a small needle knife for manipulation treatment.  Commonly used manipulation techniques are: 1, lifting and inserting, puncture release; 2, longitudinal release; 3, transverse or fan release; 4, oblique or undirected release; 5, shovel stripping release.  Caution: The disinfection of the operation area should be strict, the needle knife operation method should be flexible according to the location and nature of the disease, the operation amplitude should not be too large, and attention should be paid to avoid important tissues such as nerves and blood vessels. Wrap the eye of the needle for 3~5 days after surgery and do not contaminate. This method should be used with caution for those with diabetes.
