The key to treating frozen shoulder

Frozen shoulder is a self-limiting disease, or a self-healing disease. Although the pain can be particularly intense for a while, most people can gradually heal on their own without treatment. Because it occurs around the age of 50, it is also called “fifty shoulder”. The main manifestation is that when the shoulder is raised or collided locally, the pain is obvious, and those with more severe symptoms often wake up in the middle of the night with pain. It is usually caused by localized attack of wind and cold, and often has a past experience of sitting at a car window and being exposed to wind, air conditioning or blowing fans for a long time. Frozen shoulder is a self-limiting disease, therefore, the treatment of frozen shoulder depends mainly on maintenance: (1) Local warming treatment, which is the most useful, patients need to pay special attention and can grasp it by themselves, often soak in a bath tub or steam sauna, soak in a hot spring, will be more conducive to accelerate the healing, if you can adhere to the daily, soak warm bath, one or two hours, generally, only six months, you can heal. (2) Usually, you can use some herbs to promote blood circulation, such as compound salvia, aspirin, etc. (3) When the local pain is severe, you can use some anti-inflammatory painkillers, such as anti-inflammatory pain, Fenbid, etc., to relieve or reduce the pain. (4) Local closed injection: it can be used in patients with particularly severe local pain; otherwise, this method is not recommended. (5) Increase appropriate exercise: Patients should only perform appropriate, gentle exercises and activities of daily living that do not exceed the pain limit (and do not aggravate the pain). Special attention: the old idea of some doctors in the past, the old way, once asked to do those
This is a very wrong and harmful treatment method. This kind of overly strenuous local exercise will repeatedly damage the muscles and tissues of the frozen shoulder, and it is impossible to reduce the adhesions of the muscles, and every super-limited exercise is a re-injury process, which will delay and postpone the healing process of the patient.
It will increase the patient’s pain.
