How Ar-He knife treats breast cancer

Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women worldwide. In the United States, there are 184,200 new cases of breast cancer each year. In China and Southeast Asia, the incidence of breast cancer has been increasing year by year over the years. Because of the development and promotion of breast cancer screening, more and more cases of small breast cancers are being detected clinically, and correspondingly, treatment methods are being improved and patient survival rates are gradually increasing. The results of 29 cases of primary breast cancer treated with cryotherapy using argon helium supercooled knife. Tumors smaller than 1 cm were completely and successfully frozen and melted. In progressive unresectable breast cancer, cryotherapy improved symptoms and prolonged life. Of the 52 cases of unresectable breast cancer that underwent cryotherapy, 12 were primary and 40 were recurrent. All patients did not respond to chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or endocrine therapy. The 3- and 5-year survival rates after cryotherapy for breast cancer were 40%. In China, 42 cases of progressive breast cancer were treated with percutaneous argon helium superknife. 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-year survival rates were 72%, 64%, 53.5%, and 45.5%, respectively. Ar-He knife cryotherapy is indicated for small isolated invasive breast cancers, those who are unsuitable for or cannot tolerate surgery or chemotherapy, and inflammatory breast cancers; stage III and IV breast cancers or recurrent breast cancers with multiple or extensive metastases, and those who do not respond to radiotherapy/chemotherapy/endocrine therapy, may be treated with palliative cryotherapy. The First Hospital of Hebei Medical University features comprehensive treatment of malignant tumors with targeted tumor therapy as its main treatment tools, including argon helium knife targeted cryotherapy, IGRT three-dimensional conformal intensification therapy, radioactive ion implantation therapy, thermal targeted ablation therapy, chemotherapy, molecular targeted therapy, cellular immunotherapy, arterial interventional therapy, and other comprehensive treatment for tumor patients. It is the authoritative institution for tumor treatment in North China. Meanwhile, this tumor hospital is the designated tumor relief hospital jointly designated by the Red Cross Society of Hebei Province and the Hong Kong China-US Charity Charity Aid Organization, and patients can enjoy 10%-30% relief of tumor physical therapy when they are treated in the tumor treatment center of the First Medical University Hospital.
