A lumbar fracture is an incomplete fracture, usually referring to a crack in the bone tissue but not a fracture, often caused by direct or indirect action of violence and chronic strain. Patients should go to the hospital in time to clarify whether the spinal cord and nerves in the lumbar spine are compressed, and actively treat them. I. Non-surgical treatment 1. Restrict lumbar activities: immediately after the lumbar bone fracture, stop all kinds of activities to avoid extrusion of the bone fracture site, which leads to increased swelling and pain and affects disease recovery. At the same time, those with wounds should immediately close and dress the wounds, stop bleeding, and fix them, which should be done by medical professionals or, if necessary, by non-medical people with relevant knowledge; 2. During the period of bed rest, you can apply drugs to promote blood circulation and fracture healing, which is beneficial to the recovery of bone fracture; 3.Functional exercise: after the condition has recovered, you can wear a lumbar girth to get out of bed and carry out functional exercise of the lumbar back muscle early under the guidance of the doctor, which can prevent the atrophy of the lumbar back muscle. At the same time, strengthen the functional exercise of flexion and extension of both lower limbs, which can prevent the formation of deep vein thrombosis in lower limbs. For more serious fractures, such as compression fractures, the supporting ability of the lumbar spine is seriously affected, and even the nerves may be involved, which may affect the function of the lower limbs, and the patient may experience pain, numbness, weakness and urinary and fecal dysfunction of the lower limbs. Such cases often require surgical treatment such as minimally invasive vertebroplasty to correct the deformity and thus promote fracture healing.
