Difference between colon occupancy and colon cancer

A colonic occupancy represents a localized mass in the colon, but the nature of the mass is not clearly defined. Therefore, it may be a benign mass or a malignant mass. When the pathology is clear as malignant tumor, it can be called colon cancer, so colon cancer belongs to one type of colon occupancy. If a colon is found to have an occupancy, colonoscopy should be performed and pathology should be taken locally from the mass. If the pathological result is benign tumor, the mass can be removed under colonoscopy; if the pathology shows malignant tumor, radical surgery under laparoscopy or open abdomen is required. Therefore, if patients encounter colon occupancy, they must go to a regular hospital in time for a comprehensive examination, and then take the appropriate treatment after the disease examination is clear.
