At the time of pneumonia review is mandatory to do lung imaging or CT examination, lung chest X-ray test. Lung imaging is the gold standard for determining lung tissue lesions and can be used to determine the prognosis and its regression by the inflammation and absorption of lesions in the lungs. Different types of pneumonia behave differently on lung CT. Large lobar pneumonia tends to show limited solid lung shadows, while small lobar pneumonia tends to have multiple patchy lesions in both lungs. Patients with viral infection pneumonia can have interstitial changes in the reticular pattern or ground glass-like changes in both lungs. Therefore, lung CT is very important in patients with pneumonia, not only for diagnosis, but also for prognosis determination of pneumonia. Lung CT is better than lung films in identifying respiratory diseases such as tuberculosis and lung cancer.
