Can sweating be hereditary?

There is a genetic predisposition to the development of acrodermatitis, especially in patients with acrodermatitis, which may be genetically linked, as in the case of fox odour, where children with a family history of acrodermatitis may develop an irritating odour in the armpits during puberty due to hormonal influences. However, as the level of hormone production decreases, the symptoms of foul sweating in such patients may diminish or disappear in old age.
