The treatment of endometrial polyps depends on the patient’s symptoms, the size and number of polyps, etc. Observational treatment, medication and surgical treatment should be considered respectively, and there is no good or bad treatment.
1. Observation therapy: If the polyp is less than one centimeter in diameter and the patient has no obvious symptoms, there can be no intervention for the time being. Generally, the doctor will recommend observation, and regular follow-up is needed to monitor the development of the disease.
2. Medication: Progesterone medication such as diethylstilbestrol and progesterone can be taken orally. After several cycles of medication, the endometrium will shed a large number of polyps in the hope that the polyps will also fall off.
3. Surgery: If endometrial polyps are combined with infertility, or if endometrial polyps are still present after medication and are large in size and cause irregular vaginal bleeding, hysteroscopic surgery can be performed as prescribed by the doctor.
Once endometrial polyps are diagnosed, standardized treatment is recommended to minimize the adverse effects of the disease.
