How soon can you have intercourse after hysteroscopic surgery

In general, intercourse should be allowed only 1 month after hysteroscopic surgery. If the surgery is complicated and the wound is large, the period of prohibition of intercourse should be extended accordingly. Uterine laparotomy mostly causes damage to the uterine mucosa, which takes about 1 month to repair and requires 1 normal menstrual period after the hysteroscopy before sexual intercourse can be performed. In the case of a total hysterectomy, the postoperative damage is greater and there will be wounds in the vagina, so it will take longer to recuperate and recover, usually 3 months before having intercourse. When having sex after hysterectomy, it is important to control the intensity and not to use too much force, and to pay special attention to the cleanliness of sexual life and to wash the external genitalia before and after sex to prevent infection. In addition, pay attention to rest, regular rest and balanced nutrition, eat more eggs, lean meat and other foods rich in protein.
