Should you walk more or rest after hysteroscopy

Bed rest should be the mainstay for 3-5 days after hysteroscopy, but moderate activities can be performed for a short time, and weight-bearing should be avoided for half a month after surgery. Hysteroscopy can directly detect lesions in the uterine cavity and is mainly used clinically for the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, intrauterine foreign bodies, endometrial polypectomy, uterine adhesions and other diseases. Patients need to take care of rest after the operation, because microscopy is an invasive operation and there may be a small amount of vaginal bleeding after the operation, so the endometrium also needs some time to recover, and bed rest is usually recommended for 3-5 days. The patient does not need to be absolutely bedridden during the rest period, but appropriate movement on the floor can also help the body recover and prevent uterine adhesions. In addition, it is recommended that post-operative hysteroscopy patients eat more protein- and fiber-rich foods, eat a light diet, keep the pubic area dry and clean, prohibit sexual intercourse for one month after surgery, and have regular follow-up examinations.
