How is HPV type 18 positive infection

Positive HPV type 18 may be related to the patient’s low resistance, having multiple sexual partners, and a history of unclean sex, and is mainly transmitted through sexual contact. In addition, it can also be transmitted through contact with the secretions of HPV-infected patients. Therefore, after appearing positive for high-risk HPV type 18, patients are advised to undergo colposcopic cervical biopsy for a clear diagnosis and effective intervention treatment. Because there is a direct correlation between HPV type 18 and the development of cervical cancer, effective intervention treatment is required. If the cervical biopsy is simple HPV infection and there is no abnormality in pathological tissue examination, anti-HPV infection drugs can be given in a timely manner to help intervene and clear high-risk HPV types.
