UV disinfection distance and time

If the UV lamp is used for indoor air disinfection, as the effective area of UV disinfection is 1.5-2m, it should be suspended at a distance of less than 1.5m from the roof and 2-2.5m from the ground, with the best disinfection irradiation time of 30-60 minutes. Ultraviolet light can kill various microorganisms, such as bacteria and viruses, and is commonly used for disinfection of indoor air, surfaces of articles and water. The irradiation intensity and irradiation area of the UV lamp are related to the power of the UV lamp, which should be used and installed according to the instructions of the purchased lamp. Due to the low irradiation rate and weak penetration, UV lamps can only kill microorganisms that are directly irradiated. Therefore, when disinfecting items, the items should be placed in a place where the UV disinfection lamp can directly irradiate, and the side that is not irradiated will not achieve the disinfection effect. In addition, all personnel should not enter the room to be disinfected when using a normal UV lamp to avoid damage. After disinfection is completed, windows need to be opened and ventilated for 30 minutes before using the room to prevent damage to human health from by-products such as ozone produced during disinfection.
