Winter “frozen” shoulder, away from frozen shoulder

Winter is approaching and it is the time of the year when “frozen shoulder” is at its peak. Frozen shoulder is also known as “fifty shoulder”. According to Chinese medicine, after the age of 50, the body’s ability to withstand the cold decreases due to weakness of Qi and blood, and the shoulder joint degenerates, which can lead to the disease due to cold or trauma. This disease is characterized by severe local pain and limited movement, just like being “frozen”, so it is also called “frozen shoulder”. Shoulder injury: In addition to age and trauma factors, some details of life may also be a potential risk for the disease, such as the following: 1. Especially, middle-aged and elderly people should pay attention to shoulder warmth and avoid air conditioners or fans blowing directly on the neck and shoulders. 2.Carrying heavy objects: When carrying heavy objects, the shoulder muscles are in a state of extreme strain, which can easily lead to soft tissue injury in the shoulder. 3.Walking the dog. When walking a dog, the sudden running of the dog can also easily cause injury to the shoulder joint of the owner. In the long term clinical process, according to the characteristics of frozen shoulder, we have created four types of shoulder exercises to help patients stay away from frozen shoulder. 1. Raise your hands up and clap your hands 10 times. 2.Extend your elbows flat and do chest expansion 10 times, then straighten your forearms and do abduction 10 times. 3.Do shoulder patting with both hands alternately 10 times. 4.Turn your shoulders 10 times with cloudy hands.
