Eperisone is not a hormone, but a skeletal muscle relaxant that relieves pain by relieving muscle tension in frozen shoulder, lumbar strain and neck and shoulder syndrome. Eperisone can also treat spastic paralysis of skeletal muscles caused by injuries to the central nervous system such as brain and spinal cord. Some patients taking Eperisone may experience weakness, sleepiness, and unsteadiness in standing, which is usually a sign of overdose and needs to be reduced or stopped. The use of Eperisone can also cause a person’s attention and sensitivity to be weakened, so dangerous mechanical operations such as driving and some fine operations should be avoided.
