In clinical practice, it is common to see children (under 5 years old) with elbow pain and crying after being pulled by an adult, the problem is usually: radial tuberosity subluxation. The main points of diagnosis for this condition are: (1) clear history of pulling; (2) the child refuses to move the injured limb (he does not want to use the injured limb to hold something he likes); (3) the child usually cries because of pain; (4) no fracture or dislocation on x-ray. The signs of successful repositioning are: (1) the child is willing to move the injured limb; (2) the child is no longer in pain and does not cry; and (3) the limb rotates normally, especially after rotation. If these symptoms do not disappear after the child is reset, there are two possibilities: (1) reset was not successful; (2) may be combined with a fracture, then be sure to take an x-ray review yo.
