(6) The stimulation of sound and light can cause seizures in a small number of patients, so it is important to reduce the stimulation of sound and light. (7) Patients with primary epilepsy are advised to eat more acidic foods, such as peanuts, walnuts, pork, chicken, duck, fish, shrimp, eggs, etc. (8) Patients with epilepsy should control their water intake and eat a light diet (less salt), eat more bean sprouts, and supplement with the trace element manganese (foods containing more manganese include soybeans, wheat, lentils, etc.). (9) Patients with epilepsy should not eat alkaline foods such as kelp. (10) Patients with epilepsy should pay more attention to rest, avoid overwork, cold and fever, mental tension, emotional impulse, excessive excitement and other seizure triggers, generally do not watch television or movies for too long, to watch less or not watch gunplay or martial arts films, generally should not play video games. (11) Quit eating foods that may induce seizures: fried foods, fatty foods (goose, mutton, etc.), chili peppers, onions and garlic, male chicken, carp, etc.
