How does acupuncture work to prevent and treat disease?

Acupuncture and moxibustion are two different therapies (one is acupuncture and the other is moxibustion), but they are both used to prevent and treat diseases by directly stimulating certain acupoints and meridians in the human body to regulate the internal organs and blood. The normal activity of our body is maintained by the normal operation of the meridian system. Meridians are a system (or system) that connects all the internal organs, tissues, organs and everything else in our body and makes it an organic whole, it also includes the nervous system, blood system, lymphatic system, immune system and other systems of modern medicine. Acupuncture points, or “acupuncture points” as they are often called, are mainly distributed on the meridians or meridian system, and each point is a hub for regulating the function of the body’s meridians and internal organs (which can also be loosely compared to a post). When the body’s meridian function (i.e., the flow of qi and blood) becomes dysfunctional or stagnant for various reasons, causing an imbalance in the function of meridians and internal organs, the body becomes diseased. At this time, we use acupuncture and moxibustion to stimulate the corresponding points of the body, so as to adjust the function of the meridians and internal organs of the body, so that the imbalance of the meridians and internal organs function back to balance, then the disease will be cured. Modern research has fully proved the theoretical basis of acupuncture prevention and treatment of diseases from the following four aspects: 1, acupuncture can activate the potential functions of the human body, correcting the bias or decline of the body’s functions, so that the body restores its normal physiological balance. 2, acupuncture has a good two-way regulation of the body’s cellular immunity, humoral immunity and the function of the major systems such as blood vessels and nerves. 3, acupuncture has the function of blood activation and analgesia. 4, acupuncture has the function of promoting the self-repair of human tissues.
