Is 37 degrees 1 considered a fever?

If the temperature is detected in the armpit, 37.1°C is a fever. If the temperature is measured in the mouth or rectum, 37.1°C is not part of the fever range. The normal body temperature in the armpit is 36°C-37°C. The patient’s measured temperature of 37.1°C is slightly higher than the normal temperature, which is in the low fever range and may be caused by an infectious pathogen. In this case, the patient can not apply medication, drink more water, pay attention to rest, and test the temperature again after a period of time. If the temperature returns to normal, no treatment is usually necessary. If the body temperature continues to rise, reaching 38.5°C or higher, medication should be applied and temperature changes should be observed until the temperature returns to normal. If the high fever persists, it is necessary to consult a doctor as soon as possible to clarify the diagnosis and carry out standardized treatment. Patients should pay attention to hygiene in life, avoid infection with various pathogens, pay attention to rest, drink more water, and increase the proportion of vegetables and fruits in the diet.
