Shoulder pelvic rim fracture?

  There are many causes of joint dislocation, such as joint laxity, trauma or even congenital abnormalities in bone structure. Different treatments for different causes are necessary to prevent re-dislocation.  Yesterday’s surgery was on a young man who had a shoulder dislocation caused by a fall, and 3D CT revealed that the patient had a fracture of the glenoid rim of the shoulder joint. Because the shoulder glenoid rim is connected to the joint capsule and the glenohumeral ligament formed by the thickening of the joint capsule, they are also important structures to prevent dislocation of the shoulder joint. Therefore, for this case, surgical repositioning and fixation of the fractured shoulder glenoid rim naturally repositioned the joint capsule and ligaments attached to it, which also prevented complications such as re-dislocation and severe wear and tear of the joint due to repeated dislocation of the joint.
