Mao Yu, deputy director of Beijing Municipal Health Bureau, introduced that the data released by Beijing Public Health Information Center in 2010 showed that heart disease ranked the second leading cause of death among Beijing residents with a mortality rate of 157/100,000, accounting for 25.3% of total deaths, second only to malignant tumors. In recent years, the incidence and death of acute myocardial infarction among Beijing residents is trending younger. The information platform for monitoring the incidence of acute myocardial infarction in Beijing shows that since 2007 to 2009, the incidence rate of people over 25 years old has gradually increased, especially the incidence rate of people aged 35 to 44 years old has increased the most, with an increase of 31.8% in 3 years.
