From the word “disease” and “cancer”

As a valuable heritage of the Chinese people, Chinese characters are by far the longest continuously used major script in the world. At the same time, as pictographs, Chinese characters have obvious intuitive and ideographic properties, and are rich in national wisdom. For example, the word “disease” that we are talking about today was, in ancient times, a single word with two distinct characters, “illness” and “disease”. “Sickness” is a word for disease, and inside it is a word for “yag”, which means “to have a target”. The word “yag” is the “arrow” of “archery”. It tells you that those things that come from outside and attack your body are like cold arrows that a person puts at you, for example, cold, frostbite, infectious diseases and other external factors that cause discomfort are called “disease”. See how to write the word “disease” again? The word “disease” has a “C” in it. In traditional culture, “C” means fire. In the Five Organs, C represents the heart. Therefore, “C fire” can also be called “heart fire”. When there is fire in the heart, people get sick, it is as simple as that. “Heart fire” translates to the suppressed emotions, which are the seven emotions and six desires that are out of balance. For example, sadness, worry, joy, fear, anger …… are all human emotions. The so-called seven emotions and six desires, in layman’s terms, is a human qi. The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine writes: “Thinking is qi knot, anger is qi up, fear is qi down, shock is qi chaos, joy is qi slow, sad is qi down.” This means that different emotions correspond to different directions and changes of qi. Qi was originally a normal energy in the human body, but now it is distorted, repressed, can not be released, the result is more and more accumulation. When “Qi has excess”, it becomes an evil fire. In other words, you worry, fear or anger, you will get on fire, and disease will be born from fire, which is a type of discomfort caused by the body’s own emotional (mental) disorders is called “disease”. Therefore, the so-called “disease”, in the view of traditional culture, is the result of the disorder of the body’s own self-regulatory function caused by the action of external or internal pathogenic factors. The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine says: “All diseases are born from wind, rain, cold, heat, humidity and anger.” Wind and rain, cold and heat, and clear dampness are all external evils, while happiness and anger are the products of the body’s own emotional changes, which is the truth. Next, we will talk about “cancer”, which has three “mouth” characters, which in fact implies that there are three channels between the human body and the outside world: the nose is on the top, which is connected to the sky and internally connected to the lungs; the mouth is on the bottom, which is connected to the earth and internally connected to the spleen and stomach; the skin is on the outside, which is connected to heaven and earth and internally connected to the internal organs The skin is outside, connecting heaven and earth and the internal organs. The incidence of lung cancer in smokers is 10-20 times higher than that of non-smokers, laryngeal cancer is 6-10 times higher, and esophageal cancer is 4-10 times higher. Some people say I do not smoke, even second-hand smoke is rarely exposed, but you always have to breathe, this year we will add PM2.5 in the environmental testing, PM2.5 is the diameter of the atmosphere less than or equal to 2.5 microns of particulate matter, also known as lung-accessible particulate matter. Although PM2.5 is only a small component of the earth’s atmospheric composition, it is rich in toxic and harmful substances and has a long residence time and long transport distance in the atmosphere, so it is an important killer of human health and one of the direct factors for the increase of respiratory tumors in recent years. Besides environmental pollution, half of the factors are related to dietary habits. Frying food can produce carcinogenic substances called benzopyrene, and excessive alcohol consumption can cause cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus and liver, and increase the risk of breast and colorectal cancer. Some data show that people who drink more than 60 grams of alcohol per day have a 9 times higher risk of cancer than non-drinkers. Liver cancer has been confirmed to be related to hepatitis B virus, long-term drinking of water from ditches and consumption of moldy food, and the policy of “changing water, preventing mold and hepatitis” proposed in China in the 1970s has led to a significant decrease in the incidence and mortality rate of liver cancer in some areas with a high incidence of liver cancer. Research suggests that, to a certain extent, the occurrence of stomach cancer, intestinal cancer, liver cancer, esophageal cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, bile duct (cyst) cancer, breast cancer, etc., are closely related to improper diet. Long-term overdose of creamy food is one of the culprits that trigger these high incidence cancers. In addition, we live and work in an environment where more and more electrical appliances and medical equipment are used, and we are exposed to more and more electromagnetic radiation, nuclear radiation and toxic substances in our long-term occupation, which will cause different damages to the human body through the skin of the muscle surface and may lead to tumors over time. The word “mountain” under the mouth, which I often call “a mountain” in modern society, includes the pressure of family life, the pressure of career competition and the pressure of emotional life, all of which will affect our emotions and become the internal factors of tumor. All of these can affect our emotions and become intrinsic factors to trigger tumors. Therefore, the creation of the words “disease” and “cancer” reflects our ancestors’ unique understanding of disease and malignant tumors, and to prevent and treat tumors, we must start from solving the relationship between human and nature and the inner problems of human body.
