Mastocytosis, a common breast disease that many women are prone to. Because of the onset of symptoms such as breast pain and breast nodules, many people will have a panic: does mastocytosis increase the risk of breast cancer? Breast enlargement Let’s talk about breast enlargement first. What we need to know is that breast enlargement is only one of the most common breast diseases caused by endocrine hormone imbalance, mainly manifested by periodic pain and periodic lumps in the breast, which can change with menstrual cycle, mood and work stress. In layman’s terms, the breast is like a pocket, the gland is like a pile of flour, and the water is like a substrate. With changes in estrogen and progesterone during the menstrual cycle, and even with mood swings, the gland expands; the equivalent of putting more flour in when you get excited; the breast is thus filled with lumps, which are called hyperplastic nodules. At the same time, because the pockets are limited in size, more flour leads to a larger volume, so the glands desperately squeeze outward, producing what is called tension pain. And when the menstruation is over, the emotions return to calm, equal to come to a food, secretly copied the flour to eat some, relatively speaking, the water is rich. So, at this time, the breast blue waves, no lumps, no rising pain, only the softness after the pressure is released. Mastopexy and other breast diseases Although both mastopexy and breast cancer have different degrees of lumps, there are differences. As far as the characteristics of breast lumps are concerned, mastocytosis often reveals multiple nodules of varying sizes and ill-defined boundaries in both breasts simultaneously or successively, which can be pushed. Breast fibroadenoma lumps are mostly round or ovoid, with clear boundaries, smooth surface, no adhesion to skin and surrounding tissues, high mobility, and slippery feeling when touched; while breast cancer lumps are mostly single nodules with irregular edges, mostly hard texture, and often adhering to skin. Many other benign and malignant diseases of the breast can also show symptoms of breast pain and breast nodules, so differential diagnosis is important. Once the symptoms appear, you should go to the hospital in time for screening and diagnosis. Treatment of mastocytosis At present, the treatment of mastocytosis is mainly self-regulation, supplemented by medication. Do not be overly stressed because you have mastocytosis. Excessive mental tension can make mastocytosis worse and breast pain more pronounced. We encourage patients to combine work and rest, reasonably relieve mental stress, and maintain emotional stability, most symptoms can be self-relieved. For some patients with more severe symptoms and long duration of the disease, medication can be taken appropriately. The stressful and hectic pace of life often leads to some mental stress, so no matter what time you have to learn to release the pressure, and a positive attitude to life and a relaxed mood is the best way to stay away from mastocytosis! Also don’t forget to have regular health checkups!
