How long to rest after mammary fibroid surgery

About 1 week of rest is recommended after mammary fibroid surgery, depending on the individual. The best treatment for mammary fibroids is surgical excision, and patients generally need to rest for about 1 week after surgery to avoid wound dehiscence due to work or other circumstances. And it takes time for the wound to heal. 2-3 days after surgery, the tissue proliferation shrinks the wound, and a scar can be formed after 5-6 days, after which it basically heals. Patients need to pay attention to avoid infection and perform timely wound care cleaning. In addition, patients can perform their own state adjustment and observe postoperative symptoms such as bleeding and infection. If the fibroids are large or numerous and their own recovery is slow, the rest can be extended to about 2 weeks. After mammary fibroid surgery, patients are advised to rest in bed as much as possible to ensure enough sleep, avoid movement that leads to wound dehiscence, regularly self-examine their breasts, and visit the oncology department in time if there is any discomfort.
