Breast fibroid surgery timing

Although breast fibroids are benign tumors, there is a possibility of gradual growth and malignant transformation. If the lump continues to grow, the scope of damage caused by surgery is bound to increase, so women should have early surgery: i. Lumps growing too fast: If the lump grows too fast and drags on for too long, not only the surgery is traumatic, but also the chance of lump cancer increases, so early surgery is necessary. Women who plan to get pregnant: Since the growth of fibroids is greatly influenced by hormone level, and the change of hormone level caused by pregnancy will stimulate the rapid growth of tumor. Therefore, if a woman plans to get pregnant, it is better to remove the lump first. 3. Menopausal women: The incidence of breast cancer increases significantly in menopausal women, so in order to prevent the lump from deteriorating, timely removal surgery should be performed.
