The chicken pox will probably be finished in a few days

The duration of chickenpox depends on the patient’s age, individual condition, and care. The rash lasts about 1 week from the first day after fever, and the overall duration of the disease varies from about 1-2 weeks, or even longer. Chickenpox is mainly caused by varicella-zoster virus infection, which is transmitted mainly through respiratory droplets and contact. In infants and children infected with varicella-zoster virus, the rash starts 24 hours after fever, and the symptoms gradually resolve in about 2-3 days. In childhood, the infection is combined with some prodromal symptoms, such as headache, sore throat, fatigue, anorexia, etc. After that, chickenpox rash starts to appear in batches all over the body. The first week is for the rash to appear and the second week is for the blisters to crust over and heal. In adults, the varicella virus is mostly caused by low immunity, and the patient has more severe symptoms and a longer duration of illness. Because the virus is highly contagious, once the infection occurs, attention should be paid to isolation, timely disinfection of the patient’s clothing and household items to avoid cross-infection among family members.
