Causes of brown discharge after transplantation

When everything is normal after the embryo transfer procedure, there is no or very little brown vaginal discharge. There are many reasons for brown vaginal discharge, such as late embryo implantation, preterm miscarriage, low progesterone, excessive activity, and sexual intercourse. IVF embryo transfer is actually the transfer of a fertilized embryo into the uterus, but it does not guarantee that the fertilized egg will be able to properly implant in the uterus. In general, the fertilized egg will be able to implant 3 to 5 days after the transfer. If the fertilized egg takes too long to implant, the endometrium will shed a little and a brown discharge will be produced. However, if the embryo does not develop properly after the fertilized egg has been implanted, preterm abortion may occur, and one of the most important features of preterm abortion is the appearance of continuous brown discharge from the vagina. If the ovaries are not functioning properly, low progesterone production may also cause brown discharge. If you did not take care of yourself after the implantation procedure. Excessive activity or strenuous sexual activity may also cause contractions of the uterus, resulting in brown discharge. Therefore, after the IVF transplant, it is important to take more rest and not to have sex during this period. After the brown discharge, you need to go to the hospital for a blood HCG and progesterone test to find out the cause and then make the corresponding treatment to preserve the pregnancy.
