The most common malignant tumors of the eyelid are as follows: 1. Basal cell carcinoma: The most common malignant tumor of the eyelid. Histologically, they can be divided into: ① nodular ulcerative type; ② pigmented type; ③ sclerotic or sclerotic type; ④ fibrous epithelial type; ⑤ superficial type; ⑥ nevus-like basal cell carcinoma syndrome; ⑦ linear basal cell nevus; ⑧ common follicular basal cell nevus. Treatment: ① surgical excision; ② radiotherapy; ③ cryotherapy; ④ photochemotherapy. Prognosis: 1. Basal cell carcinoma may infiltrate into the orbit, but systemic metastasis is rare. 2.Squamous cell carcinoma: it appears as a raised infiltrative spot or nodule, often with ulcers and irregular margins. Treatment: Early squamous cell carcinoma of the eyelid rarely metastasizes and has a good prognosis. If treatment is delayed, it may infiltrate into the orbital tissues and has a poor prognosis. Sebaceous gland carcinoma: Initially, it is a tough nodule in the eyelid, similar to chalazion. Later, it gradually increases in size and the lid becomes diffusely plaque-like thickened. The preauricular gland may have metastases. Surgical excision. The mortality rate is 14%.
