The results of a randomized open phase III clinical trial using the Tumor Treatment Field (TTF) for the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma, initiated by Prof. Stupp as the lead applicant, were presented at the European Neuro-Oncology Congress in Maastricht, The Netherlands in 2010, and the median survival time in the TTF group was significantly higher than that of the best current treatment regimen for recurrent glioblastoma. The median survival time in the TTF group was significantly higher than that of the best treatment option available for recurrent glioblastoma. 15% of the TTF group was in complete + partial remission, and the results are exciting and promising because of the strength of the evidence from the phase III trial, which was conducted at more than 20 clinical centers in Europe, the United States and Israel.
