What are the indications for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in acute lymphoblastic leukemia older than 14 years of age?

Indication for allo-HSCT in CR1: In principle, all patients aged 14-60 years with ALL are recommended to undergo allo-HSCT in CR1, especially those who have not turned negative MRD at 8 weeks after induction remission or have poor prognostic clinical features should be transplanted as early as possible. For some adolescent patients if a pediatric chemotherapy regimen is used, refer to the pediatric section for transplantation indications. Patients >60 years of age who are physically eligible for allo-HSCT may be attempted for transplantation in CR1 at an experienced unit. Patients ≥ CR2 are eligible for allo-HSCT. Salvage transplantation: refractory, relapsed patients not in remission can be attempted for allo-HSCT.
