The first thing you need to do is to go to the hospital to check the electronic laryngoscope to find out the cause. There are two possible causes of dyspnea in the pharynx: 1) it is an acute inflammatory infection; 2) it is caused by a tumor blockage in the pharynx. Severe infections in the pharynx can include acute epiglottitis and acute laryngitis, both of which are mostly caused by Streptococcus haemolyticus, which can cause swelling and congestion of the epiglottis and swelling of the vocal cords bilaterally causing the patient to have difficulty breathing. The treatment requires symptomatic anti-inflammatory therapy, oral or infusion treatment, but also the use of glucocorticoids, such as dexamethasone for intramuscular injection to relieve the swelling and edema of the throat, the course of treatment is about a week. However, in the case of tumors in the throat, such as vocal cord polyps, vocal cord nodules, or malignant tumors, the patient will have hoarseness and difficulty in breathing. Firstly, local pathology needs to be taken and if the tumor is diagnosed then relevant surgical treatment is needed and it can be cured.
