The difference between nodule and lipoma lies in the different location of onset, different etiology and different symptoms. 1. Different onset location: Lipoma is a common soft tissue benign tumor, which is a tumor of normal fat-like tissue, preferably occurring in limbs and trunk. Nodule refers to palpable round, round-like or oval limited substantial damage, mostly located in the dermis or subcutaneous tissue. 2. Different etiology: the etiology of lipoma is not very clear for the time being, and it is currently believed that it may be related to heredity and abnormal fat metabolism. Nodules may be caused by bacterial or fungal infection, vascular lesions, tissue cell proliferation and so on. 3. Different symptoms: Lipoma is usually a small painless lump, which can be confined to the subcutaneous area, and part of it can also occur in the deep parts of the body such as retroperitoneum and viscera. Nodules occur in different parts of the body in different skin diseases, for basal cell carcinoma nodules can be located in the epidermis, while some nodules can be located in the epidermis and dermis. In addition, it is recommended that patients suffering from nodules or lipomas should go to the hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment to avoid delaying their condition.
