Urticaria, commonly known as “hives”, is a limited edema, or hives, that occurs in the mucous membranes of the skin due to a temporary increase in vascular permeability. Urticaria is usually treated by general treatment, topical medication, systemic medication and so on.
1. General treatment: the common causes of urticaria include food, infection, drugs, respiratory inhalants and skin contacts, etc. Patients should avoid re-exposure to disease-causing substances, or actively treat the primary disease.
2. Topical medication: in summer, itch-relieving liquid, glycerite lotion, etc., and in winter, it is the emulsion with anti-itching effect (e.g. Benadryl cream); for solar urticaria, it can also be localized to use shading agent.
3. Systemic medication: oral antihistamines such as loratadine, cetirizine, etc. for treatment, if necessary, intravenous vitamin C and calcium, with abdominal pain can be given antispasmodic drugs such as atropine.
Urticaria patients should consult a doctor in a timely manner, under the guidance of the doctor for standardized treatment, do not take medication without authorization.
