Clinical manifestations of lumbar spinal stenosis

  Lumbar spinal stenosis is a disease of low back pain characterized by intermittent claudication due to structural abnormalities in the spinal canal caused by primary or secondary factors, and narrowing of the spinal canal cavity. It is seen in middle-aged people and above, and is more common in men than women. Common causes include congenital developmental abnormalities, degenerative spinal lesions, spondylolisthesis, trauma, and medical origin.  The common clinical manifestations include: 1, long-term recurrent low back pain, the nature of the pain is soreness or burning pain, sometimes can be radiated to the lower extremities, mostly bilateral, can alternate between the left and right leg symptoms, may not be affected by coughing, sneezing and other abdominal pressure, a small number of patients may have lower limbs numbness and cold, weakness, muscle atrophy, urinary and fecal disorders.  2, intermittent claudication, mainly manifested when standing for several hundred meters, one or both lumbar leg pain, numbness, weakness and gradually aggravated to claudication can not walk, squatting or sitting rest for a few minutes after the symptoms alleviate disappeared, and can continue to walk, the reason is related to the upright walking, increased pressure in the spinal canal, vascular compression, nerve ischemia.
