A thank you note to Dr. Qi Miao!

Treatment: very satisfied Attitude: very satisfied You kept my life – remember the days and nights at the Union Hospital 1. Suddenly my life was in danger: I was admitted to the Union Hospital in Beijing on June 24 last year with cardiac aortic coarctation disease (heart aortic tear). The best time for surgery was delayed and the doctor at that time said that I only had 1 week to live ……. My family sent me directly to Peking Union Medical College Hospital, which is far away from my home, and the cardiac surgeons successfully operated on me in 13 and a half hours on the 5th day of admission. When my friends and relatives saw the surgeons bringing me to the ward, they all smiled and shed tears of gratitude. It was the chief of cardiac surgery Miao and doctors Zhang Heng, Zhang Chaoji and Wang Chao who saved my life! After the operation, my condition was unstable due to the poor recovery of kidney function, so the director and the doctors took turns to watch my bed 24/7, and they were ready to save my life at any time. When I got out of danger and gradually got better, they gave me confidence to overcome the disease again and again. I remember that when I was about 14 years old, my father told me that he had worked at the Xiehe Hospital when he was young (not liberated) because I was sick. This was the first time I knew about the Peking Union Medical College… This was the first time I knew about the Peking Union Medical College… This was the first time I knew about the Peking Union Medical College… This was the first time I knew about the Peking Union Medical College… This was the first time I knew about the Peking Union Medical College… This was the first time I knew about the Peking Union Medical College… This was the first time I knew about the Peking Union Medical College… 3.June 2011 was the third time and the beginning of my further experience of the Union Hospital: I was impressed by the comprehensive strength of the departments of the Union Hospital (Immunology, Nephrology, Infection, Orthopedics, Physiotherapy, Plastic Surgery), and the joint efforts of them and the team of doctors of the Director of Cardiac Surgery Miao Qi saved my life. The 4 months (2011.6.25-10.25) of contact with them gave me a family-like doctor-patient relationship with the cardiac surgeons. The communication between patients made me realize that I was not the only one who was rejected by the powerfully advertised specialty hospitals as a critically ill patient. The exposure to a variety of complex and critical patients has honed their superior surgical skills. The combined strength and full cooperation of all departments is the basis of their high-end surgical success rate. During the hospitalization, whenever I saw them continue to be busy in the ward after surgery for patients who could not get off work, I felt sorry for them and admired their high medical ethics from the bottom of my heart …… 4. The doctors arrived at the ward one after another at 7:00 am every day: they carefully checked the nightly records of each patient they were responsible for, adjusted the treatment plan according to the condition in time, and the daily morning and evening The two daily morning and evening check-ups enable them to have a good understanding of each patient’s condition, so that each patient can receive timely and optimal treatment. They treat the patient’s family members in an approachable manner and answer every question patiently. Every day they are so busy that their daily business study and technical exchange activities are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday. I admire their dedication and work attitude, appreciate their work style, and am impressed by their excellent medical skills. Thank you for fostering such a respectful team of doctors in the current tense doctor-patient relationship at Union Hospital! Miao Qi: Thank you for the understanding and support from our patients and families! Our efforts are worth it.
