In the case of cough variant asthma, commonly used medications include oral spray hormones such as budesonide, or oral spray hormones plus beta2 agonists such as salmeterol, fluticasone, budesonide, formoterol, etc. If necessary, leukotriene receptor antagonists such as montelukast can also be used in combination, and some patients may also use anti-allergy medications such as loratadine and ketotifen fumarate tablets. In the case of variant cough, it can usually be treated with oral spray hormones or anti-allergy medications. From a TCM point of view, patients mostly suffer from lung qi deficiency and can be given lung qi tonic drugs to make water to drink, commonly used as astragalus, ginseng, American ginseng, atractylodes, and yam. If the Chinese medicine is used, it can also be treated with Yu Ping Feng granules to benefit the lung and strengthen the spleen.
