The Chinese ancients have accumulated a lot of experience in diagnosing and treating diseases through the ear, and have briefly elaborated on it using the theory of the internal organs and meridians of Chinese medicine, but there has never been a complete system like the tongue and pulse diagnosis, so we will not introduce it here. The presentation of Naugir’s embryonic reflection auricular chart has been a great inspiration to our medical practitioners. His article and chart were first translated and published by Ye Xiaolin in the December 1958 issue of the Shanghai Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and then through 30 years of practical research by Chinese researchers and medical personnel, on the basis of the verification of Naugir’s “embryonic reflection” doctrine, the “International Conference on Standardization of Point Names” was held in Korea in 1987. International Conference on the Standardization of Acupuncture Point Names” held in Korea in 1987, proposed and adopted the “Standardization of Auricular Points Program. This established our position in the world of auricular acupuncture research. The international standardization of auricular acupuncture points (medial acupuncture points are in green) Here, Dr. Xu needs to emphasize that the auricular acupuncture points, as projection areas for each organ system, are actually small areas of varying size and shape. The size of each auricular region does not mechanically correspond to the proportions between the various parts of the fetus. This is not difficult to understand, because the anatomical proportions of the fetal parts are constantly changing as the fetus grows and develops in the uterus, which means that the anatomical proportions of the various organ systems are not fixed. Therefore, in the clinical treatment of auricular acupuncture points, it is necessary to rely on the physician’s careful visualization, probe pressure diagnosis, and auricular skin resistance detection in order to accurately locate the auricular acupuncture points. The standard auricular chart is certainly standard, but the following auricular chart is more commonly used in auricular acupuncture clinics, as it contains a number of empirical points that are worthy of our familiarity and mastery.
