Can fundus tumors be cured?

Benign tumors of the fundus are mostly curable; malignant tumors of the fundus are mostly curable if they are detected in time and treated actively and effectively; if the tumors have already metastasized to the surrounding tissues or the malignancy of the tumors is high, they are usually difficult to be treated and have a poor prognosis. Treatment methods for fundus tumor mainly include surgical resection, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and so on. Surgical resection is the main treatment for tumors. After surgical resection of benign tumors of the fundus, most of them will not recur and have a good prognosis. After surgical resection of malignant fundus tumors, there is still a possibility of recurrence; there are some serious malignant fundus tumors that are difficult to cure and have a poor prognosis. Radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other treatments are mostly used for fundus malignant tumors, and their main function is to control the development of the disease. When finding fundus tumor, patients are advised to go to hospital for examination in time to clarify the nature of the tumor and treat it as early as possible.
